Hey there, I'm Ben!

I’ve been photographing weddings in the Philadelphia area for over a decade, and I like to think of myself as part photographer, part storyteller, and part calm-in-the-storm on what’s often one of the most exciting, emotional, and beautifully chaotic days of your life. I’m drawn to the real stuff — the quiet glances, the deep belly laughs, the hand squeezes when no one’s looking. That’s what I love to capture.

So, what do I get up to when I’m not behind the camera?

You’ll probably find me knee-deep in a DIY project I swore would only take a weekend. When there’s downtime, I love exploring our new home of Doylestown or heading out on a hike with my wife, Michele, and our two dogs, Oliver and Juniper. I’m a big bluegrass fan (Billy Strings is usually on repeat) and a firm believer that there’s no better start to a day than a quiet morning in the garden with a cup of cold brew.

One of my proudest projects is a 300-page book that Michele, and I, created about our community garden in Philly, filled with my photographs and the stories of the amazing things that can happen when people come together.

At the heart of it, I’m just really fascinated by people.

How we connect, how we celebrate, how we show up for one another. My approach to photography is relaxed, thoughtful, and a little playful, always centered on what feels most true to you. I’ll offer gentle direction when it’s helpful, but mostly I let the day unfold and photograph what’s already there.
